Andover High School Graduation Party

Private Home | Andover, MA

I knew when I started planning her grad party she was headed to Boston….and then she made her college decision…

It was important to include her family connection to Andover and Andover High School where she would be graduating come June. Kate hadn’t decided on where she was going off to college, so we focused on the overall feel of the event and added in the colors later. A family home in the Cape and love for Hydrangea flowers, we decided to plan with a Massachusetts Cape-Cod style feel. AND THEN, dun dun dun dun…her college decision was made. She was going to Simmons University in Boston and the mascot (yes, you guessed it) SIMMONS SHARK! When I jumped to the website to see the mascot and school colors. Voila! Blue and gold (same as Andover High School) and the event colors were born. We created the fun signage on the Churro cart, highlighted the pool with “Bubbles” since Kate had spent her 4 years in HS on the swim team and teaching swim at the YMCA (oh and yes the shark…)
