Backyard Boho Graduation Party

Private Residence | Andover, MA

The tassel was worth the hassle!

I absolutely loved designing this graduation party for Heather in Andover, Massachusetts. Covid and all. Her Senior Year was far from normal and she deserved a send off that would make her know all her hard work needed to be celebrated! I started with designing and making a photo booth backdrop with tassels to reflect “the tassel worth the hassle”. From there I reached out to Refined Rentals and visited their showroom to hand pick items that would fit within my vision for her special day! Wicker and wood, leather and velvet, I pulled the look together with the initial color palette I had sent to Heather for her approval. Final colors, coral and salmon, light teal, muted yellow if felt calm and a bit boho, pretty but not too feminine as she told me.

When meeting with Heather, she told me she had written her college essay about the fragility of sea glass and I wanted to find a way to incorporate sea glass into the the event where guests could write a special word of advice or congratulations on large colorful sea glass fragments. Heather would take them to Elon University when she headed off in the fall!

The Pop Shop was on site to create custom College Leather Bracelets and guests delighted getting their bracelets and wrapping the leather with string in their college colors.
