Molly + Brendan’s Fairytale Tented Wedding

When Molly + Brendan decided to tie the knot, they knew they wanted a large Irish Wedding! Not easy to start planning a 400 person wedding during the height of the pandemic, but I was certainly up for the challenge. Covid-19 was in the forefront of the wedding planning, but we were going to make this happen! They were getting married at the bride’s family church in Lowell, MA. Her parents were married at the same church over 30 years ago!
First steps in creating their dream wedding? Creating a design board with color and texture as well as overall aesthetic. This wedding elevated outdoors with a sophisticated classic vibe. The bride and groom spent their winters skiing and they wanted to incorporate a bit of the outside inside the tent. Table and Tulip spent days filling the tent with lush Greenery and that meant to light it up beautifully, so we made sure to bring in only the best, Suzanne B. Lowell Lighting Design!
This was a BIG Irish wedding and the reception would be in a LARGE Sperry Tents at the bride’s home in Lowell, just around the corner from the church. Two bands, two catering teams, two bartending companies it would take a village to create this night with a 1 1/2 hr cocktail followed by a 8 hour reception. All the guests stayed to the wee hours of the morning and the band drenched from sweat, took the stage for one last song during the largest thunderstorm (literally raining sideways). We still think nobody even noticed the rain from all the fun they were having!
